THE THREE CINESE TEACHINGS
Sources of Chinese cultural norms are the conventional Chinese “Three Teachings” (sanjio, Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism) folk novels, and textbooks currently used in China. Confucianism has dominated the civil recruitment examination during the dynastic period and it still plays as a significant role in the education in Taiwan as well as on the Mainland. Taoism and Buddhism have faced the most popular religions in China since their inception.
